Our family has an amazingly high percentage of phenomenal cooks. And this time when I say "family", I
MUST include Big Emily, also known throughout this site as the Snake Woman, Popey the Snake, and
the Tator Tot Queen.
First and foremost, Deb has a well deserved reputation for making the best pies anywhere. Fortunately that is but one of many things she is very good at making, and although I thoroughly enjoy the pies (especially the crusts), life would be boring with nothing else to eat.
Home-made macaroni and cheese (with several types of cheese), Roladon, Swedish Meatballs, Roast Pork smothered in Sauer Kraut and Egg Rolls are among her long list of specialties.
Snake Woman makes so many wonderful dishes, most of which I have no idea how to spell, it would be difficult to list them all. I will however include as many of her recipes as she will give me to share.
Missie makes some absolutely wonderful roasts, a killer Rum Cake and her string bean casserole is amazing.
Mandi doesn't have the mileage in the kitchen that her mom has, but she definitely has the cooking gene. I've never heard Danny complain about her cooking.
Marlie and Emy are still in their teens and haven't haven't had the need to cook much yet. They are however, very good at eating,
and if you ask them just right, they've been known to help their mom clean up after meals. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before their cooking
genes mature and they demonstrate the same culinary talents found in their mom.
Uncle Geoff has some recipes that I hope he shares with us too! If you like "Hot & Spicey", then you should enjoy
his style of cooking. Guaranteed to produce smiles and heartburn like you've never had before.
To make thinge more interesting, and to encourage you to try all the recipes, I'm listing them by "cook" rather than by type of meal.
