Swedish Meatballs
  • 1 1/2 lbs. Ground Chuck
  • 3 slices white bread
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • black pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 pack Lipton Onion Soup mix
  • OR 2 beef boullion cubes
If using boullion cubes, dissolve in warm water first! Mix all ingredients together in bowl. Form meatballs approximately 1" in diameter. Brown in olive oil. Remove browned meatballs and set aside. Leave drippings in the frying pan for the gravy!
Gravy
  • Flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pack Lipton Onion Soup mix
  • OR 2 beef boullion cubes
Pour water in the frying pan with dripping, add boullion cubes. Mix flour and cold water to form paste, add this paste slowly to broth in frying pan, stirring until it reaches desired thickness. Return meatballs to gravy mix and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve hot!
